Cook's Hill.
A very successful meeting of the Cook's
Hill branch of the Blue Ribbee movement
was held in the Bull-street Church on last
Thursday evening ;the president, Mr. G.
Morison, in the chair. The meeting opened
with the hymn " Where are the Reapers,"
after which Mr. A. Palmer offered prayer.
The Chairman read a portion of scripture,
and the choir rang "Jesus, lover of my
soul." the Chairman then gave a short
address, after which Miss A. Reid gave a
recitation. Mr. R. Vizer sang, "Save
the boy," the choir joining in the chores.
Mr. Palmer then delivered a farewell ad
dress on account of leaving the district.
Miss Robbin renited, "tSomebody's darl
ing" in a very plessing manner. Miss
Samuel then sang "Fully trus'ing," after
which Mr. Vizer gave a very pointed id
dress on the evils of duink, in which he
offered some sound advice to th3 young.
Miss Hackehall then sang a very pretty
song in a creditable manner, after.which
Mr. Andrew made a short speech and sing
" The wearing of the blue." The Chair
man then c'osed the meeting by
pronouncng the benediction. Miss Hack.
shall presided at the organ. One new
member was enrolled, and the meeting
closed.
