Mrs. Vic. Cheshire, of Parker
street, was conveyed by ambu
lance yesterday to the District
Hospital.
The late Mr. Samuel Doyle, of
Cootamundra, was born at Wagga
and was a son of Mr. David
Doyle, sen., of Simmons street,
Wagga, and the late Mrs. Doyle.
He was very' well known in
Wagga, having resided there until
15 years ago, when he moved to
Cootamundra, where he was also
very well-known. He is survived
by his wife and one son, Harold,
of Cootamundra; his. father (Mr
David Doyle, sen., of Wagga);
two brothers, Messrs David and
William Doyle, both of Wagga,
and three sisters, Mrs. G. Bermy,
of Victoria; Mrs, Cormack, North
Wagga, and Mrs. George Lugs-
din, of Simmons street, Wagga.
The death occurred of Mrs.
Mary Jne Butler, wife of the
late J.J. Butler, of Cootamun-
dra.
The late Mr. William Julius
Hines, of Wallendbeen was mar
ried to Ann Egan, who survives
him, in 1902. Surviving children
of the marriage are Arthur
('Nethcrby,' Wallendbeen) and
Doris (Airs. E. Loane, 'Karoonga,'
Wallendbeen. Brothers and sis
ters of the deceased are Albert
(Young). Fred (Gordon). Rachael
(Mrs. G. Carr. Parramatta),
Ciira (Mrs. Jncobs. Harris Park),
Emily (Mrs. Crnddock,' Harris
Park) and Kate (Mrs. William
son, Harris Park). There wh3 a

place from St. Clement's Church

Ernest Boyd, of Tumut aged 70
There passed away at Albury
District Hospital, a well-known
former resident of the Tumut
district Mr George Mervyn
Levett youngest son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. A. W. (Clair)
Levett, of Tumut. He was born
at Bombowlee in 1896, and lived
in that district most of his life,
following farming.
News comes of the bereavement
in one of the historic Yass fam-
ilies— that of Mrs. Sarah Eliza-
beth (Lily) Grogan, wife of Mr.
B. J. Grogan, and mother of Leo
and Rex, grandmother of June,
Fay, Rhonda and Peter.
Mrs. Sarah Narders. of Green
Park, Horsha'm, aged 93, has 57
grandchildren, 102 greatgrand
children, and 27 great-great'
grandchildren. She has lived; in
Horilnm for GO years
Following her death in Syd-
ney the remains of the late
Margaret Ann Cowled were laid
to rest beside those of her late
husband in the Methodist por-
tion of Rookwood Cemetery. De
ceased had lived practically all
her life in the Junee district,
and was an ardent worker for
her church, the Red Cross, the
C.W.A, and the P. and C. As-
sociation. Chief mourners were
the daughters, Mrs. E. Douglas,
Mrs. E. Boland, Mrs. G. Hulm.
Mrs. W. McLean, sons, Arch,
Walter, Charlie, Bob and Les;
sisters-in-law, Ada nnd Elsie
Cowled; grandchildren, Rene
Peterson, Dawn Percy, P. Hulm,
L. O'Donnell, and G. Cowled.
The death occurred of Mr.
Steven Joseph Nash, 89, a resident
of Young district for 40 years.
A son of the late Michael and
Rose Nash, he married Lily
Clarke, at Young. There was one
child, Moya, who died at the age
of 18. A sister, Mrs. T. Daley, of
Junee, survives. Mrs. Nash pre-
deceased her husband several
years ago. As agent for the
Country Freezing Works for over
30 years, and a prolific winner
of prizes at poultry shows (they
totalled 2,333), the late Mr. Nash
was well-known.
A Jugiong native, Mr. Patrick
McGarvey, 66, died suddenly at
Fish River Station, via Gunning.
He lived most of his life in Goul-
burn, conducting a blacksmith's
shop for over 40 years, and was
well known in racing circles. He
is survived by a son, Charles
(Goulburn) and a daughter,
Irene (Mrs. O'Hara, Boorowa).
A son, Maxwell, was killed in
New Guinea. Sisters are Annie
(Mrs. N. Quinn, Jugiong), May
(Mrs. T. Quinn, Harden), Lily
(Mrs. J. Short, Harden), Tilly
(Mrs. Lcahart, (Leathart) Sydney). Kit (Mrs.
Kirby, Sydney) and Ollie (Mrs.
F. Evans. Qld.).
Mr. Frank Carberry, former
Gobarralong grazier, died in the
Gundagai hospital after
a short illness. Son of pioneers
of Gobarralong, the late Mr. and
Mrs. John Carberry, he was born
there 84 years ago. Deceased
never married, and is survived by
a sister, Mrs, Gravolin, Glades-
ville, and four brothers, Edwin
(Strathfield), James (Darling-
hurst), Fred (Grenfell) and
Eugene (Coolamon).
' ? .Mr. Nat. Green, who died'in
Rawson Private Hpspitol, Wagga,

years, coming ' from Braidwood.
He set up as a. jeweller^, and' gift
store proprietor, and was very;
successful. In the public and
sporting life of the community,
he was always to the fore. Aged
50, he is survived by his' widow,
