Cteswick district. At Scrubb-bill, Mr. Tretb
o»in)ias tliiesbed out with Tippet's machine
3,000 busbelg of wheat, aud HM bushels of
outs, and about 300 bushels yet remain for
thre»hiig. The wheat, of which the golden
dropat.d irolitic have yielded the best, ave
ragid 45 busi.els per acre, AtSpriug-hill, Ur.
Joseph May husihieshed out 3,600 bushels of
wheat, which, though some of tbe yield was
very poor, averaged 32 bushels pet acre. At
Newljn, Mr. Ytlli.n4 threshed 2,300 bushels
of wheat, and TOO bushels of oats. Tbe
u heat was off 41 acres, and it and the oat
en p fall; realieed tbe expectations formed
of them. Mr. John James has threshed
out 1,130 bushels of wheat, and 670 bushels
of oats. At Bullarook, Mr. A. Bromfield,
senior, has finished threshing; the wheat
comprised several varieties, and averaged
35 bushels per acre, the red straw and white
velvet yielding the most and the white Kent
the least. Mr. A. Bromfield, junior, had
very nearly the same description of wheat
as hie father, and the average has also been
35 bushels per acre. The Haliett's pedigree
wheat, however,only yielded about 20 boshels
per acre, and is considered by the farmers
OLly fit for wet clayey ground. In Bullarook.
the golden drop and red straw varieties of
wheat bave yielded tbe most At Mount
Prospect, Mr. Hus^y threshed oat '2,149
bushels of wheat, and 699 bushels of oats.
Tbe wbeat averaged 45 bushels per acre, and
tbe oate 42$ bushels per acre. Mr. Dejaney
threshed out 2,060 bushels of wheat,and 600
bushels of oate. The wbeat averaged 63 bushels
per acre and the oats 45 bushels per acre.
At Smeaton Plaits, Mr. Bingham's wbeat
averaged 14 bushels per acre, and the oats
tbe same, tbe Tartarian being the worst and
tbe short oats the best. Mr. Toose's wheat
averaged 25 bushels per acre, and the oats
20 bushels per acre. Mr. Mace's wheat ave
raged 21 buthels per acre, and tbe oats 25
bushels per acre. Mr. Foley's wheat averaged
16 bushels per acre, and the oats 22 bushels
per acre
At Bald bills. Mr. Metherell has threshed
rut 1,340 boshels of wheat. At KingstOD, J.
Hartrop's wbeat (white Tuscan and prolific)
averaged 45 bushels per acre; the oats were,
however, very light. Mr. Morrlsh threshed
out 4,912 bushels of wbeat and oats off bis
land. Barley does not appear to thrive In
tbe district, and tbe cultivation of it is bslng
generally abandoned by the farmers.
