SUMMONS CASES.
Alleged Illtrcatment.
Constable Dwan proceeded against Frede
riok Bl3akott for orueolly illtrcatlng a horsoe by
working it with a score shoulder, at New
eastle, on 7th March. Dtfoudant pleaded
not guilty.
Toe oflioer stated that about 11.30 on the
day in question he was in the looekul where
he saw the defendant who was boinog
chargod by Constable M'Gil with arnuelly

horse down Hunter-street West after having

the horse.
Constable M3Gill said the horse was a bay

old saddle. He cautioned tohe defendant not
to ride the horse again, but he wont away

fendant at Charleotown at 6 o'clock on the
afternoon of the 7thinst. Ho was riding a

defendant started to sing "After the Ball."
Whortly afterwards the defendant stood on
the verandah of her father's house and throw
a second miesile.
At this stage Mr. Dart withdrew the pro.

the lnormation.
In dismissing the osseo the 8.M1. ordered the
