COOL TO MODERATE TEMPERTURES
URING rthe week-end very light to
light rain was recorded fairly gene
rally In the settled areas of South Aus
trallia, except the lower South-East, and
western districts where it was only scat
tered. ,
The pastoral country also received
scattered very light to light falls. The
precipltation, which chiefly occurred on
Saturday. was In most cases under 10
points, with a maximum of 36 points at
Beltana.
The unsettled phase, due to the pas
sage of low-pressure waves, has now
ended, and with the advance of a mode
rate anticyclone from the westward, con
ditions are now fine and cool under
fresh southerly winds. The incoming
high of 30.2 in. intensity .was at 9 a.m.
centred near the head of the Bight.
Under anticyclonlc control fine weather
should prevail in South Australia during
the next few days, and on Tuesday cool
to moderate temperatures may be ex
pected.
Ocean Fnrecast.-Fresh west to south
west winds and patches of rather
rough seas east of Kangaroo Island.
Elsewhere seas alight to moderate
over southern waters.
