TOLL OF ROAD
NOW 546
3 Killed in Week
Three persons were killed and
10 were seriously injured in road
accidents last week. Heaviest toll
was caused by motor vehicles over
turning. One person was killed,
four were admitted to hospital, and
three others were slightly injured
when cars overturned during the
week.
The toll for the year is now 91
killed and 455 admitted to hospi
tal.
Last week's victims were:
Peter Buxton, 68. of Norwood,
who received fatal injuries when
struck by a buckboard in Gren
fell street, City, on Tueday;
Lance Wilfred Fiegert. 21, press
operator, of Albert Park, who
was killed when his motor cycle
struck a tram standard at Ethel
ton. on Thursday;
William Cameron, about 55, of
Rosewater, who sustained fatal
injuries when a buckboard over
turned at Shepherd's Hill, near
Blackwood, on Saturday night.
