NEW YORK, Sunda.-
Three eggs landed on
Frank Sinatra last night.
The scene was the Paramount
Theatre. Broadway.
The time was just as Frankie
was crooning, "I don't know why
I love you like I do."
The reaction of 3,599 members of
the audience was to sigh ecstati
cally.
Edward Dorogokleepetz, 18,
seated near the front, did not sigh.
He threw three eggs.
The first splattered on the left
side of Frankie's face.
The second shampooed his
curly locks; and
The third landed below his
famous bow tie.
"SEEMED GOOD IDEA"
Frankie backed towards the
safety of the wings.
There was no safety for Edward,
marooned in the midst of a thbou
send bobby sox Sinatra fans.
One girl grabbed Edward's
throwing arm, 500 others tried to
get at him. but he still reached the
theatre office in one piece.
"I don't know why I did it, but
it seemed a good idea at the time."
he said.
No charge wvas laid against Ed
ward, who was escorted to the
safety of the subway by four
p1olicemen.
