The Right Rev. Monsignor Mlaher, who
w'ill lay the foundation stone of the
Catholic School at Gawler on Sunday, has
had 43 years' continuous service with the
(atholic Church of this State. On ar

Mr. Wa'lter Stanley Thomas. whose

Darling & Son, Adelaide. The late Mr.
Thomas was a member of the
Paynchnm Masonic Lodge. He
was also a foundation member
and past master of the Paynehapi
M4asonic Mark Lodge. past master of
the Tumby afly Lodge. and a trustee
of the new Paynehanm Masonic Temple.
(He was a member of the Foresters'
lodge and a past chief ranger. The late
?dr. Thdmas was interested in sport,
and was a former chairman of the
Payneham Cycling Club. He was a
mnember of the Paynchant Oval Commit
tee, an auditor for the Payncham Dis
trict Council, and a member of the
Commdnwealth Club. A widow. one
mon (Mr. W'alter Thomas. of St.
Peters), and five daughters (Mesdanmes
P. Plummer. of Currency. Creek; F. F.
Lewis. of the C eneral Havelock -IHotcl.
Adelaide; V. Lahmanan. of Keswick: N.
Harris. of EPulah Park; and Mist Effic
Thomas. of Wellington road) survive
him. The funeral will leave his late
,r1sdence tomorrow mcrining for the
Baieharm Cemetery.
