SHIPPING MOVEMENTS
P. & O. MAIL S'TEAILMERS
Running well ahead of time, the P. & O.
liner Maloja is now expected to reach Outer
Harbor at 2.30 o'clock tomorrow afternooh
trom London. In addition to passengers
she has i30 tons of cargo for here, and
will rekume her voyage to eastern States
on Saturday. The homeward bound Mool
tan, of the same line, is timed to sail for
Great Britain at 5 o'clock this afternoon from
Outer, Harbor.
.MACKAP.RA FRO.I EAST
To the agency of IHoward Smith, Limited,
the freighter .Mackarra, from Rockhampton
and intermledlate ports, is expected to reach
Port Adelaide on Friday evening. She brings
2.400 tons oe cargo fo: here, and will berth
at crano shed. McLarea Wharf.
WEST NILUS FROs?t 'FRISCO
To the agency of McIlwraith, McEacharu,
and Co., the American steamer West Nilus
arrived from San Fraacl,..o this morning
and berthed at No. 1 Quay. She brought
S?() tons of general cargo and 9HO tons of
timber for local consign?es. The West N!lus
is a unit of the United States Shipping
Loa~d fleet, and was built at Los Angeles
in 1920.
PURIlt FOR PIRIE
When the Federal Line freighter Purirl
completes discharging tier cargo from New
York-probably tomorrow--she will sail for
Port Piie to lift a full cargo of concen
trates for Mazaron.
KINTYRE FOR PHOSPHATiES
Upon completion of discharge of her cargo
of sulphur from Sabine (Texas) the steamer
Klntyre will sail from Port Adelaide for
Newcastle to replenish her bunkers. Thence
she will proee.d to Ocean 'Island to lift
phosphate rock for Australian ports.
PAALEMBANG DUE? FRIDAY
To lift 1,500 tons of wheat for Rotterdam
the Dutch steamer Palembang is due at Port
Adelalde tomorrow from Melbourne. Elder,
Smith, & Co; is agent, and the vessel will
probably be dispatch d on Saturday:
CITY OF PALERMO
From Me'bourne, toe Ellerman-Bucknall,
Line steamer, City of I'alert;mo, vili berth at
No. 1 Quay shortly after 3 o'clock this after
noon. After embarking passengers and load
ing cargo for .lava ports and Singapore the
steamer will sail at midday tomorrow.
