ports.
The new schedule, which was begun by
the Largs Bay, provided {or a passage of
29 days from Southanlpton to Fremantle.
It was stteid thlat a saving would be
effected by the embarkation of passengers
at Southampton and the inclusion of Malta,
Port Said, Suez, and Colomnbo in the itine
rary of the vessel.
The Largs Bay left London for South
ampton on schedule time, but a fog in
the Channel delayed its passage, and it
was 16 hours late at Southampton.
Passengers waiting to embark were ac
commodated at Atlantic Park until mid
night, when they were taken in chars-a
bancs to the vessel, the embarkation occu
pying less than an hour. ]3ecaiuse it was be
hind time at Sue, its passage of the canal
ivas delayed by several hours, and head
winds between Colombo and Frcmantle
further delayed the vessel...
Under the new scheaule the Largs Bay
was due at Fremahtle on Thursday last,
but she did not berth until about 10
