"SHOW PEOPLE"
SComedy at West's
One of the most remarkable uanedies
yet presented in Adelaide is "Show
People," whIich is the chief attraction at
West's Olympia.
In portraying the adventures of a girl
with aspirations for film fame, more than
a passing glimpse of Hollywood at work,
and play, is given.
Marion Davies and William Haines are
cast as the girl and the friend respec,
tively. The latter takes pity on the girl
when she first tries her-fortunes at Holly
wood. As a sideline to the sketch of
their careers is the added attraction of
seein D)ouglas Fairbanks, MIae Murray,
John'Gilbert, Norma Talmadge, Charles
C!haplin, and several other screen notabili
ties.
Second attraction is "His Captive
Woman." Milton Sills and Dorothy
Mackaill are both seen at their best. The
former is cast as Officer MIcCarthy, who
had been deputised to bring a woman mur
deress to book. What he does waen he
falls in love with her on a desert island
is poignantly told.
