POLICE INSPECTORS
Two Appointments
Inspector John Robert Johns, one of the
successful candidates in the. recent exami
nations for two police inspectors, was
born at Hamley Bridge 42 years ago. He
entered the Police Force as a foot con
stable on December 1, 1908, and was trans
ferred to Northern. Territory as a mounted
constable in June, 1010.
In 1915 he returned to Adelaide, and
has since been stationed at Stockwell
(one month), Kingscote (5/ years), Red
ruth (six years), and at Loxton since
July, 1927.
Inspector David Henderson Miiller, who
received the other appointment, was born
at Stockyard Creek nearly 47 years ago.
He also entered the Police Force as a
foot constable on .December 1, 1908, and
was appointed a mounted constable on
May 1, 1910.
Since theni he has been stationed at
Gawler (three months), Stirling West
(one year), Port Pine (one year), Two
Wells (five years), Tanunda (five. years),
and Riverton (four years). For'the past
three years he has been at Moonta.
