Trade Union Representatives
"Industrialist," Adelaide:--It has been
reported that Messrs. W. Clough, D. H.
Bardolph, and Ki. Bardolph have been
appointed to represent the Manufactur
ing Grocers' Confectioners', and Coopers'
Unions respectively at the annual confe-:
rence of the Australian Labor Party iin
September.
Mr. Clough is the secretary of the three
unions named and wvill be the only direct
representative, as, so I am informed
neither Mr. D. H. Bardolph nor Mr. K.
Bardolph is in any way connected with
the confectionery or coopering industries.
It would be interesting to know how
Messrs. Bardolph came to be selected.
Surely the unions mentioned have merm
bers who are capable to act as repre
sentatives.
[Mr. Clough stated that the delegates
named had been appointed by the unions
concerned.]
