high scores in first-clas, cr;cket todlay.

E. Hendren (Middlesex), 102 not out; and
J. B3. Hobbs (Surreyj. 101.
Bettington comes from Parramatta.
J. HI. Parsons (Warwickshire) with four
wickets for 28, had the best bowling aver
age. Others who did well were E. H. Bow
ley (Sussex), 5 for 71; A. S. Kennedy
(Hampshire), 4 for 47; and G. S. Boyes
(Hampshire), 4 for 29.
