MAN REMANDED FORWEEK
S IDNEY Adrian Cadmuan. of Balfour street, Prospect, who is
alleged to have broadcast obscene matter by wireless on
Sunday night was remanded in the Adelaide Police Court today
until next Tuesday.
In a statement to the court, in which he denied allegations
by the prosecution that when arrested last night he had
threatened to blow out his brains and to take the life of
Inspector Beare, of the wireless branch of the G.P.O., Cadman
said that his nmoiicr had smashed up his broadcasting equip
ment with a hammer.
A request was made to the magistrate that if a case were
proved against Cadman he should be sent or for trial to the
Criminal Court, where penalties were higher, instead of being
dealt wiith.in the lower court..

Constable Sparshott that I had tried to
assault him, and I said. "I wish I could.
"I Ihad no intention of blowing out my
brains. I said that I might clear out
and get niork somewhere else after this
case was over."
