BRISBANE, Friday.-Being, a-.Gover
nor is not such a pleasant job as might
be thought, the Governor (Sir Leslie
Wilson) confided last night to the
Ithaca sub-branch of.the Returned Sol
diers' League.
"I must confess." he said with a
reminiscent twinkle in his eye, "that I
wish I were an A.D.C. again.-Years and
years ago-I will not tell you how many
-I was an A.D.C. in New South Wales.
"You may think it is very nice to
be a .Governor, but a Governor is
never supposed to go out by himself.
He is too well known really to enjoy

of saying. 'Now, be good.' when I go
