Money Moth looks
well placed to win
PACING
By KEVIN ROBERTSON
District speedster Money Moth
gets his chance to test his sprint
prowess against a field of well-per-
formed rivals in Canberra Harness
Racing Club's Tyrepower Pace
(2140m) at Exhibition Park tomor-
row night.
Fresh from his last start win at
the same track last weekend in the
opening of his 1993-94 campaign,
Money Moth and his owner-trainer
Ken Stewart look well placed on the
front line.
Money Moth, a former Canberra
Horse of the Year, appears to be
more relaxed this season and is not
expected to give away big starts
from the barrier, a trait that pre-
vented him from winning more
races last season.
Greg Coney's drive, Charlie Bra-
vo, who has been close to a win at
Harold Park in his recent starts,
could be the one to beat.
Charlie Bravo showed his liking
for the Canberra track by winning
last season's heat of the Dress Circle
Pace and then taking out the final at
Penrith.
Another strong Canberra con-
tender could be Frank O'Sullivan's
talented Polo Three, who has won
10 races from 36 starts and will start
from barrier three.
Polo Three will be having her
first start for the season so can be
expected to improve on whatever
form she shows.
Polo Three may be ready for a big
first-up effort after leading before
being run down close to the line in a
fast trial at Exhibition Park on
Tuesday night. The five-race pro-
gram begins at 7.45pm.
