Boys camping
in Melbourne
MELBOURNE: More than 700
boys from several countries are in
Melbourne this week for the sev
enth Pan Australian Boys Brigade
camp.
The contingents include .visitors from
New Zealand, Britain, Malaysia, the
Solomon Islands and Brunei.
The camp, which began on Thursday,
is a considerable logistic feat.
Apart from entertainment, or
ganisers have to make sure the boys are
fed and housed.
It is estimated they will eat 31,000
meals, consuming 1,300 chickens, 4,000
thick sausages, 500 litres of ice cream,
11,000 litres of cordial and 4,500 litres
of milk.
They are sleeping in more than 100
army tents.
The boys will be involved in a range
of sporting activities as well as sightsee
ing trips -
