Mt. Finlayson, in introducing
the deputation, said that an important
principle was at stake.
The speakers general] represented that
ihe action of the Treasurer was calculated

shocked at the proposal that lotteries
should be permitted in -connection witii

Mx. Witt said that the Commonwealth
