Netball begins for disabled
Netball for the intellectually
disabled began last week and, as
well as many former players, a
number of new senior players
appeared at the Arawang
Association courts.
The turnout for the senior
games in the afternoon was very
pleasing, according to program
co-ordinator Liz Nichols, but
only limited interest had been
displayed by the under-12 age
group, which plays at 9.45am.
With the number of coaching
volunteers present, parents
were encouraged to bring their
children. Players will be graded
into teams on Saturday.
Both males and females are
welcome to join in at the courts,
in Streeton Drive, Stirling, and
further information can be ob
tained on 498424.
