CYCLISTS' CLUB
FORMED IN CANBERRA
AN OUTING ARRANGED
A meeting of cyclists was held at the
Social Service Rooms on Monday even-
ing for the purpose of considering the
formation of a club in Canberra.
Mr. J. H. Honeysett, Social Service
officer, presided, and it was decided to
form a club, to be known as the Can-
berra Cycling Club. Mr. J. H. Tootel
has been appointed acting secretary and
a further meeting is to be held on Mon-
day evening next.
The first outing has been planned for
Sunday next, and wlll consist of a ride
through the city area, commencing from
Hotel Canberra at 2.30'p.m. The club
has before it the aim of establishing
road races in Canberra and of establish-
ing a long road race from Canberra
which may become a national event.
