HINTS TO CORRESPONDENTS.
1. Study brevity, as long letters are often rejected when
short ones would be published.
2. Avoid needless personalities, in order to obviate unprofitable
rejoinders.
3. Write legibly, especially all names of persons and places,
and on one side of the paper only.
4. Letters intended for immediate publication, and which
need to pass under editorial supervision, should he left at.
the Office in the day time; and letters intended for the
Weekly Paper should be sent, when practicable, early in the
week.
5. Local reports, paragraphs of local news, country letters, i
&a, will always be gladly received, and published free of
charge, but the names of the writers are required, not for
publication. but privately, as a guarantee of good faith.
