A public meeting at
Narrabundah Primary
School last night formed!
a committee of 24 to dis-i
cuss plans for future;
health services in Narra-i
bundah. j
An assistant director ofi
of ACT Health Services,
Mr B. V. McKay, said'
further developments and
expansion of the free
health service which had
replaced a private doctor
would depend on what the
community wanted.
Points raised at the
meeting included the need
for child-minding and com
munity facilities in addi
tion to the health centre.
The headmaster of Nar
rabundah Primary School.
Mr K. Crowley, opposed a
suggestion that the baby
health centre be enlarged
to accommodate future
health services.
He said Narrabundah
had already had too much
of making do with old and
inferior buildings.
The committee will meet
to discuss the area's spe
cial needs and will then
elect a smaller committee
to work with ACT Health
Services planners.
