LOSS OF MEMORY.
Information was received on Saturday by
Lance-Corporal Bushell that a man,
apparently a lunatic, was wandering about
the Moppa. On Sunday morning tbe
lance-corporal found the man lying on tbe
road. He appeared to be suffering from
loss of memory, having "no knowledge, of
[places or things.- -He was-brought"into
Kapunda, where during tbe-<Jay lie greatly
improved. Oh Monday- morning he was
charged, before Mr.W. Flavel, J.P, with
being a pauper lunatic, but Mr. Bushell
asked for the dismissal of the ease. It was
ascertained that the unfortunate man bad
rambled from Smithfield, where he had
been employed stone-breaking. He is a
" swagman," and is about 52 years of age.
