SYDNEY, Sunday. —
Bob Shaw, of Sydney,
battled hard with Wills
Masters winner Alan
Murray before taking
the Brisbane Waters
Professional Golf Cham
pionship by one stroke
at Tuggerah Lakes to
day.
Starting with a two-stroke
lead after 36 holes, Shaw
and Murray staged a "cliff
hanger" finish following a
[see-saw round in which the
lead changed hands several
times.
Shaw finished with a level
par 69 for 209, Murray had
a final round of 68 for 210.
The championship was
undecided until the last
stroke when Shaw rapped
in a two-footer after almost
holing out with a bunker
shot.
The 22-year-old Sydney
professional won a cheque
for $950
