ENEMY CENTRES DAMAGED
METZ AXD FRANKFORT VISITED.

ing already reported, we bombed the
railway triangle at Metz. Y<~e attacked
in the night tivo ■aerodromes and various
targets with bombs and machine guns.
Despite the bad weather to-day we suc
cessfully attacked aeroplane and chemi
cal works -at Frankfort. Bursts were ob
served in the centre of the objective.
Large numbers of enemy aeroplanes iept
up a xucnhig fight for 30 miles, and
we destroyed two o£ them. All ths
British machines returned.
Anptber British squadron attacked the
aerodrome of Hagenau with excellent re
sults. It encountered many liostiles,
j -2r!d in {-he severe fighting which ensued
we destroye:; four of the enemy craft
and drove down another. Two British
machines are missing. The squadron
reformed after the fight and proceeded
to bomb its objective. A direct shit was
made on a large hut. One bomb de
stroyed four enemy machines on the
ground.
