DOUBT ON CROOKWELL AND
BURRINJUCK R.L. STATUS
During a Group 8 meeting at Queanbeyan last
Sunday, some delegates questiozied the votihg
powers of. Coiokwell and Burrinjueck delegates.
This occurred during the ex
chango of credentials and in pri
vate discussion It seemed Hkely
that there. would be a challenge
to the voting. powers of the two
areaS.

Fahey and Carruthers, of Crook
well were representing a club

that Bufr'injuck could not be
given League status, merely
through the payment of an affil
lation fee.
However, our Captaln'a Flat
correspondent, who attended the
meeting reports that nothing
further was done in regard to the
,matter.
The question of BurrinJuck in
relation to Yass was dlscussed
and the chairman, Mr. 3. Collins
(Canherra) ruled that Burrlnjuck
delegates could have voting- pow
ers on the :pa)nent of the d2/2/
affIliation fee. This wan done
and the other Leagues--Captain's
Flat, Cr.ooklwell.. Gculburn,
Queanbeyan- andm . CanberrRa--lso
affiliated. Yass was not represen
fed.
Deleogtes later expresse? the
hope that Yass would retain its
status as a constituent League of
the group.
When discussion took place re
garding the zoning system for
mntdhcs, the status' of Eurrinjuck
eds . gain , raised, but as futlo

asked that an affiliation fee he

rThe zones for the grup com
petitions are: (1) Crookwell dis
trict; (2) GOculburn: (3) Captain's
Flat, Queanbeyan, Canberra, Yass
and Burrinjuck.
Each zone will organise a com
petition, ,with the winners to
play off.
The meeting recorded apprecla
tion of the services of retiring
treasurer, Mir. Harry Walls, dur

The president, Mr. A. Bowers
(Queanbeyan) described the meet
ing as being in the nature of a
"peace conference," and he said
he hoped delegates would approach
