At the conclusion of the match on Mon
day morning Mr. Richards, president of
the Ashfield Club, in a short speech ex
pressed his pleasure at the generous treat
ment they had received at the hands of the
Goulburn Club. He had no hesitation in
saying that, for a.young club, they had
never met with a better class of bowlers,
and hoped the Goulburn team would soon
pay a visit to Ashfield, where they would
meet with a hearty welcome. The senti
ments of the speaker were endorsed with
musical honours by the other visitors.
Cheers were given for the ladies who had
helped to make the visit such a pleasurable
one. Mr. Bladwell, president of the local
club, said they knew Goulburn had a strong
team to meet when the Ashfield team was
invited. They were very well satisfied,
however, with the result. The local players
would learn a lot from the visit of the Ash
field team. It was very satisfactory to re
ceive a visit from such a team. .The visitors
were then accorded musical honours.
