FAIR AT BELLERIVE.
A very successful fair was held in the
Bellerive institute on Saturday afternoon,
in aid of the funds for the lighting of St
Mark's Church The hall presented a
charming picture with the decorated stalls
lining the walls The Fair committee
have worked vigorously, and have had an
energetic secretary (Mrs S W Green) at
their head During the afternoon a pedlar,
parade, arranged by Mrs. Andrewartha
and Miss Bailey, went through a
number of evolutions, and were loudly
applauded The little dots, some of them
not more than three summers, were led by
a small lassie named Phyllis Horon They
were all prettily attired, and were very
warmly applauded
Mrs A. E Solomon, who opened the
fair was presented with a bouquet by
Master Butcher who referred to the
worthy object for which the fair had been
arranged, and urged those present to show
their practical sympathy by making a
clean sweep of the stalls She wished the
fair every success, and thanked the committee
of honouring her with an invite
firm She was ever willing to do What
lay in her power to forward a good game.

Coop, Miss Sharland and assistants, fairy
well, Misses Thelma Wilson Agnes Pilgrim,
Ida Mills, Jean Wilson, 1 attire

'The fair was continued in the evening,
when there was again a large attendance
and a number of competitions were held
