Razor Blade Swallowed In Sleight-Of-Hand Trick
After lying in hospital for four days with a rusty razor blade swallowed accidentaly, in his stomach, Vivian Hensley, a well-known Lutwyche (Q.) dentist, died on Sunday morning. Last Wednesday morning mischance caused him to swallow the blade while
amusing his wife and son with a few sleight-of-hand tricks, including what he called his sword-swallowing act. Mrs. Hensley immediately took her husband to a doctor, who fed him with cotton wool and sent him to hos pital. Following an X-ray examina tion an operation was performed, but the blade had shifted, and could not be found. Hensley died before an other operation could be performed. Mr. Hensley, who was aged 42, had been president of the Australian Den tal Association and of the Kedron branch of the R.S.L.
