WOOL APPRAISEMENT

THE FIFTH FIXTURE ] PRICKS FOR DISTRICT CLIPS

Particulars of the fifth appraisement of wool for the season, which was com pleted last week, have been issued. The total number of bales appraised was 24.024. The wool was again drawn mainly from the Midlands and

the agricultural. Great Southern and j^ South-West districts, the pastoral areas | being represented by only about 4.000 bales, of which nearly 3.000 bales com prised wool shipped from North-West ports. The Associated Wool Brokers ; (Dalgety & Co.. Elder. Smith & Co.. Goldsbrough. Mort & Co.. and Wost ralian Farmers Ltd.) reported that the selection was similar to the pre vious catalogue, a feature of the offer ing beins several attractive clips from the Great Southern. Kaigoorlie Produce Markets. — Peas and beans were in sliort supply at the Kalgoorlie markets yvsterday. lvjwrts Producers' Markets Limited. Prime lines met with a keen demand, ami prices ranged from Sd. to 83d. per 1b. Runner 3-ejnis sold at from 7d. ;n*r 11». to Sd- for prime sorts : broad beans made from lid. to 2d. per lb. There was a good demand for firm ripe tomatoes, with prices ranging up to 20/- for best No. 1 flats, whilst small green fruit sold at from 8/-. Half dumps ranged from -V- for small sorts to 12/- for prime fruit.
