Cousin Of Czar . Dies In Paris
PARIS, October 12. -The Grand
Duke Cyril of Russia, head of the House of Romanov, and first cousin of the late Czar Nicholas of Russia, died in the American Hospital.
The Grond Duke, who was aged 62 years, married in 1905 Princess Victoria, daughter of the Duke of Edinburgh, and the Grand Duke's first cousin. There is one son-the Grand Duke Vladimir, aged 21 years - and two daughters of the marriage.
On August 31, 1924, the Grand Duke Cyril proclaimed himself Czar
of all the Russians.
After the downfall of the Romanov dynasty, he went to France, living the life of a country gentleman at St. Briac, a fishing village in Brittany.
