Smoky Dawson On 5 AD Tonight
A new approach to Aus tralian musical entertain- ment is made in the "Smoky Dawson Show."
which will begin at 7.15 p.m. today over "The Advertiser" network. This session, to be broad- cast on Mondays to Wed- nesdays inclusive, will bring to listeners the traditional bush lore and ballads of the Australian outback—with a setting of adventure, peopled by those grand characters of whom we have heard, but never known —the real horsemen of Aus- tralia. Songs composed by Smoky Dawson will be a feature of this programme. Some have already been recorded and are favorites with many radio listeners. Others have been written especially for this new 5 AD show. Today in his early morn- ing and luncheon pro- grammes Bob Fricker will Begin his 5 AD Christmas parcel scheme. Listeners will be awarded presents from several firms who are joining 5 AD in this special festive season ges- ture. Bob Fricker will an- nounce details of the "Christmas Parcel" scheme daily.
