The Lovers of ^krona

. Sydney artist Cedric Flower designed the sets and costumes for "Romeo and Juliet," which the Sydney University Players will present for a season at the Union Theatre, Sydney University, from

April 18.

It is the first time the University has produced Shakespeare's famous tragedy about the young lovers from rival families in Verona-Juliet, a Capulet, and Romeo, a Montague-whose happi- ness is ruined by old hatreds.

The title roles are played by part-time Arts student Rosemary Gerrett and Arthur Dignam, Arts III.

Producer is Edmund Allison, of the New Theatre, Sydney. Peter Butler has composed music specially for the pro- duction, scoring for lutes, oboes, and

recorders.

To publicise their "Romeo and Juliet," students are asking: "If you've seen the film ("West Side Story"), why not see the play?"
