FLOOD HAVOC.
Thousands of Indians Homeless.
CALCUTTA, June 25.—There have been widespread floods due to the clash of two monsoon currents in upper central India. Villages have been destroyed and thous- ands of Indians are homeless. Over fifty were drowned and hundreds of cattle have
perished.
Buildings collapsed at Ajmer and families were buried. The Ganges burst its banks and thousands of acres have been flooded and the crops destroyed.
The Government is hurrying relief to the marooned and panic-stricken villagers.
There have been many breaches in the railways and expresses and mail trains are unable to get through.
The havoc in the Delhi and Punjab dis-
tricts also is serious.
