HOBART TOWN.
ARRIVED.— September 8— Bride, schooner, from
Sydney. 10— Joseph Somes, barque, 774 tons,
Thompson, master, from London the 4th June, with 249
male convicts; Dr. Elliott, Surgeon-Superintendent.
Passengers — O. B. D'Arcy, 45th Regt. ; Mrs. D'Arcy and
four children ; Ensign J. O'Donnell, 96th Regt. ;
Mr. Cooper, Religious Instructor ; Mr. and
Mrs. Hayes and daughter ; — steerage— 50 men,
6 women, and 12 children. 10— Louisa, brig.
from Sydney. 10— Julia, brig, 110 tons, Clarke,
from New Zealand 25th August. Passengers —
Mr. and Mrs. Purnier.
The John Bull had been sold by her owner,
Mr. Macfarlane, at Hobart Town, to Mr. Water
house, for the sum of £800. She sailed on the
same day as the Emma, for Tahiti.
The schooner Bride was to be sold on the
14th instant. The Joseph Somes would go on
to Port Phillip, for the purpose of landing the
Pentonville Exiles she had brought out.
