QUEENSLAND AGAINST NEW SOUTH WALES
To enable the Selection Committee of the Queensland British Football Association to finally decide the players in the intercolonial match with New South Wales under the British Association rules, two teams from the various clubs played a match on Saturday. The pro- bable team were picked from the play shown by the players in the two previous games, while the other team were composed of players selected from the best in the association. The game took place on the St. Andrew's ground, Pineapple, and attracted a large number of spectators. However, the fine passing game of the probable players, with the assistance of their strong back divi-
sion made them superior in the game, which ended:-Probable players, 5 goals; picked team, nil. The Selection Committee held a meeting afterwards, and the team chosen was as follows - C Bennet, J. Lamond, N. Shelley, H. Blake, W Collie, J.
Brown, G. Menzies, J. McCosh, W. Dreghorn, J. Inglis, G. Shelley, A. Manson, D. Menzies, Barker, M. Drennan (manager). The first game against New South Wales takes place on 10th August in Sydney, the second game
