MYSTERY AEROPLANE' London, July 16. A mystery aeroplane, which re cently frightened Londoners by mid-night low-flying stunts, reap peared over Central London early this morning flying at about 500 ft. Hundreds saw it at 12.]5 passing over Trafalgar Square. The fuse lage of the wings was plainly visible in the glare of street lights. It was still circliiig over the West End at 12.30, but soon afterwards disap peared northwards. It had previously passed over the Air Ministry, where efforts were being made to discover its identity. London, July 17. The mystery aeroplane mentioned yesterday again flew over London after mid-night. The "Sunday Referee" declares that the pilot, without disclosing his name, telephoned to the defence officials: ."To-night, in order to demonstrate the inadequacy of Britain's defences, I am going to drop flour bombs on the House of Commons and St. Paul's Cathedral.
