MR. W. H. GRAY'S WILL.
There is considerable speculation as to the value of the estate left by the late Mr. W. H Gray, and various "hundreds of thousands" are mentioned as representing the total
amount. It is impossible to say at present to what extent the Treasury will benefit by the will under the Succession Duties Act, but a good round sum is anticipated. There was a rumor on Monday that Mr. Gray had taken steps some time ago for the distribution or his estate, and if this proves to be the case obviously the probate and succession duties will be very largely reduced. Mr. Gray held a considerable amount of city property in some of the leading thoroughfares, but the question of fixing the real value of the different blocks with their improvements has not yet been dealt with. Messrs. Moulden & Sons are the solicitors of the estate, and they contemplate being able to lodge the will for probate in less than a month. The will will be read soon after the funeral of the deceased.
