LEASE UNDER OPTION. THE CAMELBACK. PROMISING DEVELOP- MENTS. The Camelback lease, a property of 21 acres, situate 16 miles from Yundamindera in the direction of Linden, has just been taken over un- der option by the Young Bullfinch Cnmpany, who have paid a substan- tial guarantee as proof of their good faith in the matter. The gold shoot has been proved to a depth of 100 ft., and it is 200 ft. long at this point, which, with other shafts which have been sunk on the lease, gives the total length at over 800 ft. The average of the assays that have been taken comes out 8 dwt. per ton for 18 in. wide in the ore body. which is 3 ft. wide in places. A re- turn from a crushing put through at the Linden State mill, 13 miles away, are an average of 32 dwt. per ton. People who have had an opportunity of inspecting the lease, state that the property has very promising in- dications to recommend it as a gold- producer. Mr. R. Evans, formerly general manager of the Malcolm Mines, Ltd., at Murrin Murrin, was the purchaser on behalf of the Young Bullfinch Company. Adjoining ground has been lately, pegged out. The hope expressed that the dis- trict will go ahead as the result of taking an option on the Camal- back.
