FIRE AT YUNDAMINDERA. Yundamindera, Feb. 6. Messrs. Raftis and Twomney's     store was totally destroyed by fire   2.30 this morning. The origin of fire is unknown. When the alarm was first sounded the front portion of the brick building was a mass of flamees, which were also   soon issuing from the roof, and ex   tended to the iron additions. The outbreak was so sudden that noth ing was saved, but the books were subsequently recovered from an iron     safe in fair condition. A strong easterly breeze was blowing and the volunteers did good work in saving the adjoining building. Mr. Brown, the mnager of the Linden State   mill is deserving of great credit for his share of the work. Mr. Raftis       was soon on the scene, but Mr. Twomey was absent at Murrin. The premises and stock were insur ed for £1500; which amount repre sents not more than half the loss. A tariff war between Germany and the Unites States has been averted. The cattle and dressed meat issue has been dropped, and each country has conceded to the other it mini-
