ARABIAN DISPUTE.

HITCH IN NEGOTIATIONS. More Fighting Possible.

CAIRO, May 24.— It is reported from Arabia that the situation between King Ibn Baud, of the Hejaz and Nedj and the Imam of the Yemen, has aeain become

tense, and that both sides are preparing for war. [The two independent Arabian States were recently .involved in war over ^he occupation of the mountainous Tehama border country by Yemeni forces after the Sandi -troops' had withdrawn in the in terests, it was claimed, of peace.- King Ibn Saud then ordered an invasion of the Yemen and his forces seized Hodeida, a Yemeni port on the Red Sea, and then began to advance on Sana, the Yemeni capital. At this stage peace negotiations were undertaken on terms dictated by King Ibn Saud, and there seemed to be good prospects of a settlement according to reports from Arabia.]
