LONDON, May 7.— Information has been received in London that the British Min ister at Jeddah (Sir Andrew Ryan) has been given an assurance that order will
be established in the Ked oea port or Hodeida recently occupied by the vic torious Wahabis. In the House of Commons today, when questioned regarding the situation in Hodeida and the ' Yemen, the Foreign Secretary (Sir John Simon) said that the British Government had preserved an atti tude of strict neutrality towards the con flict between King Ibn Saud and the; Iman of the Yemen, with both of whom the British Government was in friendly treaty relations, taking only such measures as had proved to be essential for the safe guarding of the lives and property of British subjects and British-protected per sons in the area affected by the hostilities.
