A MARVELLOUS ESCAPE.
A peculiar accident, which resulted in 8 wonderful escape with life, hap-<*> pened on Saturday morning on the Largs Bay line. While the driver
of a cart went into a. shop "near . the Leferere's Peninsula school, lie left Victor Carlson, a boy of 6 years, reading in Ship^treet, Fort Adelaide, in charge of the vehicle. The horse became restive, and backed on- to the line* as the P. 45 a.nu train, from Largs was approaching. The. train dashed into the cart, and smashed it to pieces, and the boy, who had been thrown ont, was found under the bain when it was brought, to a standstill. He was taken to the Port Adelaide Casualty Hospital, where his injuries, wJncVoorisis ted chiefly of a slight scalp wound, "were , dressed. His escape was considered Cttlej f short of miracnlous.
