MACQUARIE AWARDS o. ! FOR RADIO DRAMA : ' {£

Winners of the 1948 Macquarie awards fer radio performances were announced to-night.
Best male star award went to
John Cazabon for his perfor- mance in "Sleeping Clergyman," and the best female star was, Sheila Sewell for her role in "Charles and Mary."
Each award carried a trophy and 100 guineas.
Best supporting awards were medallion and 50 guineas to Peter# Bathurst, ("Sleeping Cler- gyman") and Lyndall Barbour ("Seventh Cross").
