LONDON, Monday -The death has occur- red of Col G F B Turner, formerly super- intendent of design at Woolwich Arsenal
who designed most of the bombs used by the British in the Great War He was a mem- ber of the military control mission in Ger- many in 1920-2 Col Turner once said the mission frequently warned the British Gov tinment that Germany meditated another

He declared In 1335 that the idea that London could be w iped out in a night by gas and bombs was bnseless 'I know some- thing about gas he said, 1 lived for days In France in areas drenched with mustard gas and ate meals and slept in a gas mask "
