WALKINGTON.—On the 16th January, at Petersburg,
the wife of C. B. Walkington, of a son.
PRICE.—On the 28th January, at Barnard-street,
North Adelaide, the wife of Henry Archibald Price,
Tutnila, Mount Lofty, of a son.
WHIBLEY.—On the 22nd Jauuary, at Stirling
West, the widow of the late David Whibley, of a
daughter.
MARRIAGES.
LEMON—NORTHEY.—On the 27th January, at the
residence of Mr. W. G. Candy, Noarlunga, by the
Rev. T. Hillman, Edwin Charles, eldest surviving son
of Mr. Charles Lemon, of Lovely Valley, Myponga, to
Hannah Maria, fourth daughter of Mr. James

SLOGGETT—EMERSON.—On the 25th December,
1891, at Mr. T. Sloggett's residence, Millicent, John,
the youngest son of Thomas Sloggett, Millicent, to
Elizabeth, fourth daughter of Robert Emerson of
Gawler.
THURSTON—DOBBIE.—On the 23rd January, at
St. John's Church, Fremantle, Western Australia, by
the Rev. Watkins, Albert Edwin, second son of T.
Thurston, Esq., North Adelaide, S.A., to Carrie, only
daughter of the late J. and M. Dobbie, formerly of
New Zealand, and niece of A. W. Dobbie, of this city.
SCOTT—VIVIAN.—On the 24th December, at the
bride's parents', Flinders-Street, Adelaide, by the Rev.
T. Allen, Harry (Sydney, N.S.W., late of Adelaide),
second son of the late Mr. T. F. Scott, to Mary Jane,
eldest daughter ot Mr. H. Vivian.
DEATHS.
WALKINGTON.—On the 13th January, Charles
Francis, the eldest beloved son of C. B. and L.
Walkington, of Petersburg, aged 6½ years.
JOHNSTON.—On the 27th January, at Goodwood
road, Abigail, the dearly-beloved wife of Thomas
Johnston, aged 57 years. Deeply regretted by a
large circle of friends.
MARTIN On the 26th January, at Sterling
terrace, Albany, Elizabeth, tbe beloved wife of Wm.
Martin, and sister to Mrs. Beeves, ot Port Adelaide,
also to Hiss A. Cotby, of Broken Hill; aged 46
years, leaving a Urge family to mourn their loss.

SMITHAM.—On the 28th January, at his residence,
Woodland Farm, Peachy Belt, Samuel Smitham,
sen., the beloved husband of Sarah Smitham, aged 83
years and 5 months. Arrived in the colony by the
ship Constance, 1850.
The years roll round, and steal away
The breath that first it gave;
Whate'er we do, where'er we be,
We're travelling to the grave.
BRAY.—On the 28th January, at Spring Farm,
Clare, Samuel Bray, aged 76 years. A colonist of 54
years.
MORTIMER.—On the 26th January, at 'Mintaro,
after a long and painful illness borne wits Christian
rajignarlnn. Jane, the beloved daughter of B. and N.
HATDMEKT.—On-the 18th January, at Hindmarsh
Inland, Mary Ellen, tie dearly beloved wife of Alfred
H. B. Maldment, aged SB, leaving two dear little
children and a husband to mourn their loss.
'Tis hard to break the tender cord,
When love has bound the heart;
Farewell, dear wife, thy life is put,
My love for you to the end ahaU last.
Snort waa the can she had from above,
Not a word to her loved ones could say;
Her eyes closed in death, as a babe in its sleep,
So calmly she passed away.
JAMES.—On the 24th January, at Kapunda, the
loving mother of David and Evan James, of Kapunda,
and Mrs. Richards of Goolwa, aged 73 years.
FOSTER—On the 2lst January, at Aldinga, of
cancer, Benjamin Foster, the beloved husbiod of
Mary Foster, late of Port Gawler. in his 71st year. A
colonist of 45 years, having arrived in the ship David

SAVAGE.—On the 28th January, at the Adelaide
Hospital, Mary Ann, the beloved wife of Alfred
Savage, of Port Adelaide, aged 62 years.— R.l.P.

LAURENTI—In loving remembrance of Otto, the
beloved husband of Theresa Laurenti, who died 29th
January, 1891.
