LIEUTENANT FORREST KILLED.

PERTH, May 21.

General regret was expressed 'when it (became known that the Fifth and Sixth West ^Australian Contingents . in South 'Africa had suffered heavy losses.

IMuch sympathy was expressed for IMr. Alex. Forrest, C.M.G., when the news iwas confirmed that his eldest son (Lieutenant A. A. Forrest, was amongst those killed. The casualty list Is as fol- lows :-Engagement on 19th May.-Killed : * Lieutenant A. A. Forrest and Sergeant Ed-

wards. Severely wounded : Privates B. J, Hancock, W. F. Boilenger, F. St. John Kennedy, Charles (Bissett, J. Stevens, and Corporal Richard J. Furlong.
