The owner, Mr. Ley On, a caterer, claims that the stars are right for his colt to win the top classic.

He" took £22,000 to £22 about Ki Ming.

At the Derby call-over yester- day Ki Ming was quoted about one-fortieth of the price which his owner received.

The bookmaker has since died, but the company which took over his business also took over the bet.

Ki Ming has advanced to third

favouritism since the Aga Khan'i praise du Bois was scratched.

The French colt' Damtar, te be ridden by Rae Johnstone, is still outright favourite.
