ANNANDALE.
Mr. J. J.Maxwell, one of the candidates for the position of alderman in the Annandale Council, addressed a large meeting of the ratepayers last night, at Lappan's Colonnade Hall, Johnston Street. Mr. O. C Beale occupied the chair. The candidate advocated a number of reforms in the working of the borough, and the disposal of garbage by incineration. Addresses were also delivered by Alderman I R Cohen, Messrs W. Marlin, A M'Quire, A Duncan, H Feather, and J. Davenport A vote of confidence in Ihe candidate was earned.
